STATEMENT OF PURPOSE TO STUDY IN NEW ZEALAND

I am Your Name, a permanent resident of Address. I was born on the Your Date Of Birth. My passport number is Passport Number. Gaining knowledge and achieving goals has always been the prime motto of my life. In this process, failure and success are the two parts which have provided me enough strength to combat many difficulties as I am a hard worker, self- motivated and independent. So, with positive intention, I am intending to pursue a Graduate Diploma in Applied Information Technology specializing in Software Engineering offered at Wintec, Hamilton, New Zealand.

I belong to a nuclear family consisting of  A SMALL DETAILS ABOUT YOUR FAMILY AND YOUR MOTIVATION FROM FAMILY MEMBERS. I expressed my desire for higher studies to my brother & he is glad to provide me the necessary support needed for my higher studies.

I did my School Leave Certificate from SCHOOL NAME, in 2012 securing YOUR SCORE? I then completed my High School from COLLEGE NAME, Bhaktapur with first division (YOUR PERCENTAGE) in 2014.

After graduating from secondary school, I opted for the computer science major during my higher secondary school where I learned the foundation of computing technology and some basics of c-programming languages. Gradually, my interests turned into computing technology; yet the desire of understanding the full mechanism of computing technology was not fully fulfilled. This curiosity led me to pursue Bachelors of Information Technology (BIT) from Aryan School of Engineering, which is affiliated to Purbanchal University (PU), and is one of the best IT Colleges under PU – where I was awarded a scholarship because of I was on the top list of entrance exams of the university during admission. There were many students and the available seat was only 40; so it was tougher for me but I did it and successfully completed BIT in 2018, securing YOUR SCORE.

During my undergraduate studies, I completed eight different project works indifferent programming languages. During my junior year, along with three team members, designed ‘attendance software’ for the college to have a digital record of each and every student. I also completed three months’ internship in PHP web application development from IT training Nepal Pvt. Ltd. which is one of the pioneers IT solutions in Nepal. I always realized the practical aspects of the study that is one of the reasons behind my higher marks in practical examinations and projects which averaged above 75%, the highest in my school. I am seeking for an institute that offers word-class quality education and research atmosphere, and best faculty, exceptional peers and excellent infrastructure, an institute that can facilitate to help me achieve my academic goal

I have chosen to study Graduate Diploma in Applied Information Technology because I want to learn the knowledge & skills to deliver quality information technology services, & develop effective communication skills to support & enhance a range of organization & industries. Software Engineering applies the knowledge and theoretical understanding gained through computer science to building high-quality software products. As a maturing discipline, the software is becoming more and more important in our everyday lives.

The 1-year course will enable us to have the ability to build quality software while considering design, development, security, and maintenance is sought after amongst all kinds of companies, from finance and banking to healthcare and national security.

As a developing country, Nepal is taking baby steps in the field of technological advancements. Although there are institutes in Nepal offering courses of my desire, the institutes here do not provide students with proper facilities for advancement in their field of study science & technology. Furthermore, the courses here are out of date with teaching professionals that lack experience and knowledge.

A career in Information Technology has good scope in developing countries like Nepal so I believe that becoming a qualified IT person from New Zealand will open doors to my employment in Nepal. The purpose of this program is to prepare the ambitious student for understanding the core concepts and practical skills in IT as well as for employment as either a Database Developer or Software Engineer. Graduates will have awareness of the I.T environment, appreciate the needs in the applicable professional standards and practice as part of a team or independently with a broad level of supervision.

My research for abroad studies found New Zealand as the perfect platform to continue my studies. I chose New Zealand because it is one of the best countries to pursue Graduate Diploma in Applied Information Technology making it one of the best options for international students. Along with quality education, I figured out that New Zealand is socially adjustable for international students like me. It has a globally recognized degree dedicated to making students highly employable. It has a welcoming and multi-cultural society with a sound economy and work experience benefits for many new graduates. New Zealand also offers a safe and peaceful study environment for international students. Every year colleges welcome thousands of students to undertake different courses. It bears an international reputation for excellence in all areas of training and education. The cost of studying in New Zealand as compared to other English speaking countries is lower and thus more affordable for someone like me.

I found the balance in the theory and emphasis in a practical skill that Wintec is providing to its students. Furthermore, Wintec degrees are globally recognized and do have an academic standard which includes systematic teaching methods and technological advancement with the real world. Workshops for academic skills preparation are often conducted on-campus. The topics covered at these workshops include researching and referencing, essay writing, report writing, and oral presentations. Additionally, after having gone through its website, I found good & positive reviews & reactions from students regarding this institute and many comments say, lecturers, professors, and the management are proactive and helpful with students who need guidance and assistance. Wintec offers diversity, flexibility, where the unique needs of each individual student can be met. The course, campus and teachers, small classes, individual attention, dynamic online learning, study location, and the study environment on the campus are the things that attracted my interest in Wintec.

After the successful completion of my proposed course, if permitted, I would like to gain international experience for a while working in New Zealand. I will be well equipped with the knowledge & skills required for contemporary information technology. I will then definitely return back to my country as there is a wide range of scope in the field of information technology. I strongly believe that with the help of this international exposure I will have different career opportunities like IT Manager, Web Developer, Software Engineering, IT Project Manager, and Database Developer. My goal is to gain in-depth knowledge and experience and become qualified in my chosen field so that I can make a career for myself and also contribute to my society and country.

I can guarantee you that I will follow all the rules and regulations held by the institution as well as the law of the land. I will demonstrate myself as a compliant student with the potential to be an asset to the institution. As I have shown in my academic history, I will uphold my consistency in my performances in the results and work hard to maintain the image of the institution. I will do my best to secure international-based degrees, knowledge, and skills under the act of a temporary student visa.
